So what's the deal with this? I have heard different ones say they use shredded newspaper as the substrate in their feeder bins and it works great. My question is does it reallY? Not that I don't believe people, but won't it stink worse with just the newspaper?
It would be great if it did work, because it would be cheap and easy substrate for me. I went to get some kiln dried bedding and the local supply store only has one kind other than straigt cedar, and once I got it home and opened the bag, it smells like it may have cedar in it too. (it doesnt list the contents). I looked at the pellets for pellet stoves and the ones that they carry on it warn against using it for human (??) or animal usaged. So, before I even test it out, what's everyone's opinion.
