Non feeding ball python

Hi, My ball python hasn`t fed since november, she weghed 1600g but now weighs 1300g. I know they can go a while without feeding but should i be worried yet. I have started putting vitamins in her water and she seems fine when i get her out. Thanks for any replies.

Are you sure she's female? If not, it's still not uncommon for balls to go off food for...well...forever. They are a pain in the arse and one of the reasons they are my least favorite species on the planet! I suspect the warmer days and longer sunlight will spark her feeding.

Going that long without feed is not uncommon at all, the weight loss is pretty significant though, keep an eye on that.

The breeder i got her from said she was a famale so i take it she is.
The temps are: 90f at the warm end and between 75f - 78f in the cool end.
I do weigh her and my corns every month.

Losing 300 grams in that time is a bit puzzling. I've had cornsnakes go off food for 3 months at a time and not lose more than 50 grams...even being very active looking for a mate. While balls of either sex tend to stop eating during the winter months, males are more prone. Just because a breeder said it'sfemale doesn't mean that a mistake wasn't made. Mistaking a male for a female is done quite often because the probe wouldn't go all the way in. I usually probe multiple times if sexing (or pop several times if popping) when I say it's a female to be sure. You won't probe a female as a male unless you go too far, but you can easily probe a male as female. Have you tried feeding live? Many balls will only take live, or will go from taking f/t to only live. You might also try hamsters, or African soft furred rats as well.
