noob questions: about feeding

i'm new to snake owning and i bought a corn snake saturday at petco. they told me that sunday was feeding day for them and i could feed him then. sundays are not good for me to feed him so i waited till yesterday to feed. he didn't eat yesterday so i tried again tonight still didn't eat.

monday i let the pinkie thaw out to room temperature and then put him/her in the critter keeper and then the pinkie and left him in the dark for 15 minutes and came and check.

tonight (tuesday) i let the pinkie thaw out to room temperature and then put it in a ziplock bag and let the bag sit under water for around 10 minutes. then i put the snake in box that he came in and then the pinkie, i left him in the dark for about 45-60 minutes and he still didn't eat.

the hot side stays between 80 and 85 degrees and the cool side around 75 degrees
so is he still in shock from being in a new home?
how long did it take yours to eat his first meal after you brought him home?
once you thaw out a pinkie and it doesn't get eaten do you freeze it again or throw it out? i've been throwing them out.

gonna feed him again thursday and see if he eats then

It's always best to let your new snake get acclimated for a least a few days before handling or attempting a feeding.
Before trying to figure out if something else is going on like going into blue ( getting ready to shed ) you need to leave him alone. I would wait till at least Friday to try again then every 2 or 3 days till it eats
I would not refreeze the pinky. You have to throw it out.
Warming it up in a baggy in warm water is what I do.
Most new ones eat right off and then some don't eat for a week or two. For some I just throw the pinky into their container, others I have to wiggle it for a minute to get them to take it. Then there are the ones that like to eat in private. You got to figure out your corns personality.
Again let he little guy chill out for a few days. Don't handle, feed, look, talk to it. Ha-ha

He could still be stressed from the move. Each snake responds differently to that sort of situation. But, many will be easily stressed from the move and still scared in their new environment so a refusal to eat isn't unheard of.

I'd give it a week or so, leave it alone, let it get situated and more comfortable. Then try again monday. You could consider "braining" the pinky, which is basically just poking the head open with a pin or something and letting a little of the juices out. Tends to get a snakes attention. Pretty much everything daddio said already... I'm basically just confirming the advice.
 
Yup, give him a week of no handling/no feeding to settle in. Quick question, how are you measuring your temps and what are you using to heat the enclosure? The temps are spot on, but just want to make sure they're accurate. :)
 
I put mine in a seperate small container, Way to small for her, like, 6 inches by a foot. If i were you I would throw her in that for a bit. No substrate though, Or else it will stick to the pinky. Also, Try drying it off, might help.

What I do, If I simulate it being alive. I at least have it a warm temperature, and i kinda dangle it in front of her till she Strikes at it. Not sure if this is a good idea, but I will at least provide you with an idea.

Brain it (which is a good idea, Nanci Mentioned it, You cut an incision at the skull, so the smell of blood is stronger. Then.... With the tongs you use, Hold it in front of its face. Let the tounge flick out and taste it, and then just hold it in front of her face, for like, 5 minutes, see if she eats then. Also, she might be going in to shed, although mine has never had an issue eating, regardless of if she was close to a shed, First shed, I thought I should feed her as soon as her skin turned dull, because I wouldnt be able to feed her after she went blue, no problem eating.
 
Yea im first time I put her in the critter cage I had for the gecko when I cleaned his cage. The second time I put her in the little box they put her in when I bought her. I'm gonna wait till Monday and see if she eats and if not will wait two days and do other things that have been suggested. To warm the pinkie up I put her in a ziploc bag and put it under water for 10 minutes
