Noob wanting to identify morph

Hi I bought this snake a couple of days ago. I'm a complete noob, this being my first snake. I think its a caramel, is there a way to tell for sure? Unless the snake comes from known parentage, surely the patterns and colouration can be of any number of mixes.

I suppose in short I'd like to know if there's a standard for identifying snakes colouring a "breed standard" for want of a better word.

okay go easy on me.
