Hi, please help me..
Is this a normal or a hypo?

I would say normal because there is still a lot of black compare to my hypo...but i'm not certain... i can post a pic of him if you want to see.

ooh i too would have said normal, however im too not sure. sorry i cant be more of a help.
am sure someone would be able to help you though.

beautiful snake by the way :)

Can it be both? =P

The top view truly looks hypo to me. The bronzing of the rings around the saddles, doesn't look like any normal I've seen.

Yet the belly checkers are blacker than I'd expect to see in a hypo. But they don't really look like normal checkers either. My normal had definite black checkers that didn't appear faded.

I can see why you're asking for opinions. About the only definite way to tell would be to breed it to a known hypo and see what pops out. That'd settle it once and for all.

And then you have the delimma of trying to determine which "hypo" it is. :devil01:

My snake Jake looks exactly like yours. When I bought him the breeder advised that he was a "Hypo". I also questioned if he is normal or hypo myself and seeing your picture our snakes are identical. I am unable to post a picture at this time. Let me know what you find out.

I was going to say the same thing as you Taceas. The top of the snake looks hypo, but the checkering is really pretty dark, although it's a bit different too.

Here is my Hypo... I know there is not a lot of differences, but the belly checkers are more grey than black, that's why i thought yours was a normal, and also the orange background seems less bright than the orange on my hypo.... just like there was a little bit of black into it.... but like I said i'm not certain... :shrugs: i think Taceas give some good point about it.

I'd call it a normal, I have a normal corn that has even more faded belly checks than that. The only way to know is to test breed it to known hypos though.
