I decided to take a stab at breeding mice, so I went out and bought a male and female. They are in a 10 gallon viv. When I bought them, the sales person said that she wouldn't be ready to breed for another week. It has now been 6 weeks, and nothing. If I didn't know better, I would think that the male (like most males I know, myself included) is starting to get "frustrated" with her. He will chase her around the tank and bite her back, tail, and genitals. She tries to get away, but it's only a 10 gallon, so there isn't a lot of room to run. I do think it's amusing when she uses the wheel to try and escape.... :grin01: Any suggestions on how to get them to breed? Do some mice just not reproduce? If they don't breed soon, I'm getting rid of them. I want breeders, not pets. I have enough cages to clean without adding this stinky one to the mix. Thanks for your help.
