not hiding

my baby corn never goes in either of his hiding spots. I have one on the cool side and i have one on the warm side of the tank..
is there anything i might be doing wrong? or is it ok....

That's good - he feels safe where he is :)

Some corns like to hide, some prefer not to.

Quite often Suzy sleeps on top of his bark rather than under it
 
Yeah, as long as you're actually supplying the hides you haven't got anything to worry about. Some snakes are more 'brave' than others.
