Not sure if this is the right place for this thread. Im a newbie so please accept my apologies if it isnt.

I was wondering if some one could explain to me what things like 1.2.0 mean? I see it at the bottoms of peoples signatures and I know it has something to do with how many males/females you have, right? They girl who sold me MoJo told me he was Normal het for Hypo Male -9 months old so how would I say that? Oh and exactly what does "het" mean?:dunce:
 
1.0 Normal het Hypo '07 = Male, Normal het for Hypomelanistic(reduced black) born sometime in 2007, if you want to put the year in :)

het is short for Heterozygous, meaning carrying a gene but not expressing/showing it :)

Yes it does! Thank you! The woman who sold him to me told me that because he is het for Hypo his orange color is more tannish...I personally (in my very very amateur opinion-lol) thinks he looks like more of a miami or a crimson Would that make the orange parts tannish?

Ok so..Im looking at your signature and you have 1.1 Reverse Oketees...so that means you have 1 male and 1 female correct?

Exactly! :)

When you see 4.8.3 it means, 4 males, 8 females, 3 of unknown sex. Sometimes you may even see a 4th number ie 4.8.3.18 then the last number means eggs!

I don't know much about the effects of het Hypo on the colouring of a corn, I'm not sure it actually makes a difference to be honest :shrugs:

There are many different variations in colour, that can be seen on a Normal corn, which is probably what makes them so popular :)
