I'm Me, Deal With It
I had my breeder rat, Bonnie, riase one of her female pups so I can use her as another breeder. Now the baby, Jordan, is about 3 months old and is "living" with her momma. Well, bonnie just had another litter today and I was wondering if it is ok to keep Jordan in there with her? Thanks for any advice...
(the pic is Bonnie raising a male and female out of her litter...)

Hey there,
The young from the previous litter should be fine with the new litter.. They are quite social animals to begin with anyway!

Should be fine, but take care... I had an exact same situation just a couple of weeks ago and the daughter adopted the pups for herself, but she wasn't lactating so the pups were not getting any milk... I had to take her out so the mother could take care of them again...

thanks for the warning. Right now the daughter stays away from the nest unless she thinks I am doing something to the pups and the mom isnt there. its sooo cute
