Official Bullseye progression thread!

Well, as some of you may or may not know, I was the recipient of a beautiful male Bullseye Albino Nelson's Milk Snake. After a long awaited period letting him digest his first meal (which went great :)), I was finally able to take him out to hold and photograph. He is a little skiddish, and even tried to musk a little bit while removing him from the cage. But after just moments he was freely moving about my fingers, and is quite gentle.

So, without further blabbing, here he is.

I know a blue bowl would have complimented the red much better, but it will have to make due for now.

NICE!!!! UBER jealous! He is one pretty snake, Michael!

I actually LIKE the red bowl with the red for the snake... LOL.

Thank you very much Fred! I have a green bowl as well, but I was curious to see how the red bowl looked as a back drop. I'm glad you like it, because I was worried it might be too distracting for a red snake. The red does seem slightly distracting, but I believe the colors of the snake were captured quite well.

Great pictures! What a lovely snake, and I agree that the red background looks really good!
Thank you! I'm surprised the red bowl is such a hit, and thanks for the compliment.

I was ecstatic when I first saw him in person, and still am in awe about him. But the best news has been his feeding success, and his temperament. I was told to leave a dish in his cage with the mice placed on top, as he is skiddish and that's really the only way he eats. But I just became worried of him ingesting substrate, so I fed him as I did my other snakes. I was thrilled to see how eagerly he ate right off of the tongs, and then I left him in a container to finish consuming the mouse. It was a BIG success. Then today I took him out to handle, and he calmed down very quickly. He musked me as I pulled him out, but I'm sure I spooked him while feeling around the aspen bedding for him.

He's perfect Michael definitely one of the nicest ones I've seen congrats again and keep us posted!!
Thank you so much Danielle! I've seen some gorgeous Milk Snakes, and I am so glad to have such an incredible one myself. I certainly will keep this thread updated too, so maybe I'll play around with different colored backgrounds like the ever popular blue bowl.

On a side note, I love his tail. After Michael got him I've been looking at various Albino Nelsons Milk Snakes, and he seems to have the whitest tail...It just looks so awesome. Just curious if anyone else has a Milk Snake with a similar tail?

::drools:: He is gorgous!! congrats on getting him! :)
Thank you very much! He is definitely an amazing looking animal, and I am so happy to have him. He's really mellowed out too, and only musked me when I first handled him. He's still more skiddish than my other snakes, but he seems to settle down well if I take him out very slowly.
