xerxes

addict
so lately xerxes (the snake) hasnt been eating because he just shed a few days ago. i feed him live, like he's always been fed. and i dont breed them but about once a month i drive to the nearest pet store and get four mice which typacally last me four weeks. well we had three left when xerxes went blue on us so he didnt eat for over a month. i guess the mice took this as a que to get it on. so i got home from work, checked on the mice and there's two lil newborns sitting in the aspen by (their assumed) mother. i am not experienced in rodent care at all and i was hoping for some advice on what i should do. thanks.
p.s. heres some pics so this isnt completely boring.

Bonus food! Just watch which mouse suckles them, and keep 'em with her with as little disturbance as possible. She's probably pregnant again, because mice get busy again the day after birth, so just feed off the other 2 mice, feed off this litter when it grows up, keep her and you'll get more bonus snakefood too!

2 is a pretty small litter so it might not be worth keeping her as a breeder . If you want to grow out the 2 new pinks then make sure the mother is feeding them and keep her. Feeding her extra protein wouldn't hurt.

You can look at their bellies for a white milk band to check if they are getting fed.

I will take four or five weeks to get the pinkies to adult size. Or you can feed them off when you are tired of raising them.
