...yep. Just as the title, says really. I'm new, though I've been lurking around silently for a few weeks now, getting advice and wonderful info and such. So! Hi y'all. I'm Abigail, the soon-to-be-owner of an okeetee corn. He just hasn't been shipped what with the holidays and all. And... yeah. Can't think of anything else to say. I'll get photos of him once he a) arrives, and b) I fix my camera.

And that's all I can think of for now. Much love to y'all!

first off.........welcome to the site. can't wait to see pics, as the "oak" is my favorite.

secondly.........now and then mr. munson will dangle snakes in front of you of the "samson-ized" variety. you must watch out for that character. :grin01:

and lastly........a huge thanks from allot of people on the forum for doing your homework and studying/learning before keeping a snake. you should be well prepared once it arrives and if you ever run into any questions.......check out the FAQ's section and also the search feature. enjoy the new addiction.

I see Mr. Munson has posted a pic of one of his hatchlings ;)...

Abigail, welcome to CS & looking forward to seeing some pics of your new Oke :)

OK, I look at your screen name, and I think of the anthem of every lounge act in the Western Hemisphere.

But if you look at my screen name, you'll understand why.

Welcome to the forums, Abigail. I'll echo Galen's congratulations for doing the leg work on the China White before plunging the needle into your vein.

I'll be looking forward to a successfully repaired camera and its byproducts.

regards,
jazz

Wow, thanks for all the nice welcomes, everyone. I'll be careful to watch out for Mr. Munson and dem pics. ;) But that Abigail is a lovely girl, I gotta say.

And I understand perfectly, Jazz. The name's partly inspired by the Louie Armstrong piece, in all honesty. But I'm more hardcore for Count Basie. Played too many awesome songs of his back in the high school jazz band...

And thanks for the compliments on the research. I still haven't gotten a lot of the finer points down yet, but this place has really helped out on everything so far. I'm still a little nervous about taking proper care of him (as he's going to be my first reptile), but all this has me feeling a lot more prepared than I was three weeks ago. Thank you all for having such great info up, and I look forward to my time on these forums.
