ok i got my baby corn snake a few days ago.I have never had a snake before i have had lizard though........i just fed him today for the first time!!!Anyway my question is when do they shed and do they do it as babies and what should i watch for and do to help it not end up in A bad shed.......i am new to this so if it is a stupid question i am sorry.

OK, well, my first response and the response from most of the people here will be.....

RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH!!!!!

there is a nice little search feature on the forum and that will most likely help you out with anything.

ok, well, I am bored, so I'm going to go ahead and help ya out.

Yes, they shed, they shed when they grow, so they do a lot of shedding as babies...

If see your corn everyday, you'll notice that his eyes will turn a milky blue color and that is the easiest way to tell its getting close to shed.

Just double check that the temps and humidity are at a good level, and the snake has something to rub the skin off on, like a branch or rock or something you've probably already got in the viv/tank, and it should be fine

Once the snake has shed, you should make sure that the shed skin has both eyecaps and the tip of the tail on it and it all came off in....

If the shed didn't come off clean and in one piece, you'll have to help, which we will cover if it happens...

He tells no lies and if your snake doesn't shed in one try running him/her through a wet towel. (Preferably a small towel).Plus what a charming post this was ^^^^^ lol
