Actually, it’s my snake that’s named Spot. She’s 20+ years old and a little over 3’ long. When she ate her mouse this time, after resting a little while, she lunged at herself and hung on for several minutes. My wife came to the rescue and opened Spot’s jaw with the handle of a measuring spoon. Spot hasn’t tried to eat herself since.
My question is this…was Spot still hungry or is she senile? Is something else causing this? She’s done this before, but not to this degree. Also I think she is blind in one eye.
