I was holding my 8 month old amel the other day, and looked across the room and wondered if it's a good idea to have my snake and my son's hamster in the same room together. They are only about 6 feet from each other. He dosen't seem to behave weird or anything, but do you think he's constantly being tormented by the smell of rodent in the room??:crazy02:

While I'm not very sure about if your snake can actually smell the rodent from 6 feet away while in his cage... I'd still strongly suggest making sure he damn well stays in his enclosure, or (someday) your son wont have a hamster to worry about.. hehe.

i have a snake and leo who and about 8ft apart 24/7, and believe me, the snake will eat the gecko, but either the snake cant smell him, although, i wonder y not, seeming they can in the wild, anyways, either he cant smell it, or just doesnt react to it.
