Our first corn snake!

Very nice first baby!! I must warn you...we started with one (a found one at that, see my post in the intro section!), now we have 23! Most are babies we are hoping to breed in a few years. Anyway, you asked about genetics. The "bible" for that is the Cornsnake Morph Guide, 2009 edition. VMS still has 3 available (vmsherp.com) (and no, I'm not affiliated with them!). Ours is used all the time to see what's what, and I learned an awful lot from it. BTW, the way you can tell that Jackie is not a motley is by her belly checkers. Motleys have clear bellies.

Cheers!

Lesley

Thanks for the book recommendation!!! :) I will have to get that, and yes, scarily enough we are already talking about getting another! The kids EACH -even the two year old- want their own. Maybe in a few years when each kid can clean their own tank! I'm going to have to go read your first blog now!

I didn't know you could get the Morph Guide spiral bound! If you can, that's a great idea. Mine is already suffering from constant use!
