Our New Corns

Ares2010

Ex Snakephobian
I bought two new baby corns from John (Colorado Corns) and they arrived yesterday.

My daughter got the reverse okeetee (female) and I got the motley snow (male).

I put my new baby snow in his own tank, of course.. and he immediately ran into his hidely hole. He stayed in there most of yesterday.. he did come out for water right when I was coming to bed. lol

My sister took a quick photo of him when she got home from work yesterday. He still wouldn't come out of his hidey hole so she took one of him in it.

So this is a photo of our new motley corn, Zeus (he has the attitude for the name, believe me lol)

And this is my daughters reverse okeetee. Her name is Leah

So now I have two snakes in the house.. Ares and Zeus

Well, yesterday my sister found a full skin shed in Zeus's viv so she checked him out and that spot that was on his head is now gone.. so whatever it was is gone now.

He looks beautiful now that we can see his real colors. He's a motley snow.. there seems to be more pinkish tint in him that shows now than before his shed.

This is what he looks like now after his shed yesterday:

I remember last summer when my snow baby was that little. Motleys are neat I'd like to get one of them sometime. My snow is also one of the sweetest pets I've ever had. He never strikes his mouse, but gently takes it from my hand. I never get tired of taking him out and watching the light play of the iridescent scales and seeing his heart through his belly. Plus you can see if he's about to poop so you know when to put him down :).

LOL Dreamsnake, that's true.

He's settled down a lot and now slithers through your fingers as sure as you please.

And he's a beautiful color.

Updated photos
