Pancreatitis in dogs

We had our 13 year old whippet, Maggie, at the emergency vets last night. She has been vomitting and throwing up. The e-vet charged us $390 for exam, blood work, fecal, etc. That vet said liver failure or liver cancer because she showed severe anemia. We were very upset. She wanted to do xrays and an ultrasound.

We had the results sent to Maggie's vet in Kilmarnock. They said with those symptoms, it could be pancreatitis.

Anyone else have a dog with this? The symptoms are similar to what's been going on.
