Paper cut?

Greeling

New member
my oldest king shed this afternoon and when i went to take the skin and clean her cage i noticed her vent looked red and irritated. i dabbed a tissue to it to check for fluids and there was blood. she was completely fine last night.

i'm talking her to a vet once i get ahold of one, but i was wondering if anyone has seen something similar?

i keep her on news paper so could she have cut herself using the bathroom?

Hello green,

I'm not sure 100% why this is, but I have a feeling its because of the shed, my snake always poohs when he sheds, I'm guess when there in blue (shed mode) they get a little clogged up, I'm not sure but I really think that what it may be, I'm sure a more experienced member can offer more help though :)

thanks fot the reply ^__^

i called the vet and they told me to give her a warm water bath, and if shes still bleeding in the morning to bring her in tomarrow morning.

Cool yea a bath should be good, I sometimes bath Damien, I think he enjoys it lol but everyone always says they dont enjoy or dislike stuff they just put up with it lol, hope all goes well in the bath, I always let Damien go through a towel and he drys off that way
