Okay, I hate to throw personal business out for all to see, but I know that most of you following this thread have been in the snake biz for quite some time and I feel that I could get some good advice.
The deal is that my husband lost his job, we moved, and we're looking at moving again. After all this chaos I can see that my snakes can in no way get the attention they deserve, I already feel like I'm neglecting them, and it's driving me insane. My husband and I talked and we're either going to keep ONE snake and find homes for the rest, or we're going to just find homes for everyone if we can't decide.
Now I need some advice from those of you that are saged. This is in no way an ad (I'm a contributing member and will be posting something of that sort in the "Cornsnakes for Sale" section when we're ready), and we might even pick Freckles as our one keeper, but if we DO decide to go ahead and sell her what should we sell her as and how much? I don't even know where to begin. I'm still quite the novice. Should I just throw a price up and hope I get a taker and am not taken myself? Should I start a bid? If I do start a bid is it kosher to put a reserve on it, and if so, how much should I put?
This whole thing is very painful and I hope that I can get some good advice here. I took pictures of all my snakes in anticipation of finding them new homes in the near future. Here are the ones of Freckles to continue on with the progression. This may be my last progression posting and the thread may be taken over by the new owner soon.
Here they are:
I have some more that were taken a couple days later of us playing out on the grass (our first warm day this year). They're on a different camera and I'll load them up too as soon as I can get them off of it.
I look forward to hearing from you all.
