pastel ball python

I've been watching the ball python market sine March or so when I got a CB normal female BP. Lately at the local show I've noticed the prices have been dropping quite drastically on pastels, so I've just been keeping an eye out for a nice one.

Today at the show I found a very nice NERD Lemon line male pastel, hatched just 2 months ago and feeding well on F/T. $120 for what would have been easily 300 or so 6 months ago. There was another guy there selling Bell line male pastels for $75. The breeder said he was starting to enter a shed cycle so he should look even better after he sheds.

Very nice pastel. The ball market is tanking faster than the sub-prime mortgage
market.........anyone that went to Daytona this year can see why. Sure glad I bought all those balls last year  ....

So what happened at Daytona? Just a flooded market?
I've been hearing for a while that after the Daytona show prices are going to drop fast, and they have dropped pretty low on the pastels but others are holding their price, like albinos and even spiders to some extent.

I guess I'm used to corn snakes and mostly cheap morphs. I never understood why some BP morph prices are so ridiculously high.

Geeeezo, my first pastel was a graziani who was for sale for £600 (over $1000)

I got him for £320 in a deal though, but thats still $600+

Right enough he was a absolute top grade pastel, verging on a super.

Cool new addition, everyone needs a pastel.
