Pastel female GhostBloodred

2007 Pastel female GhostBloodred :) She was up for sale, but isn't anymore!! Her last few sheds really brought out some beautiful color.

She is photographed with a female Anery A for color comparison. The very last photo is a GhostBloodred female from the first clutch that turned out a nice metallic grey on grey color (no pastel there) She also JUST ate a nice fuzzie.

Nice!

Is that from the adult pair that I got mine from? My female looks almost black more like a anery bloodred...
I have 2 pregnant females and a fertal clutch from coral ghost x bloodred will be interesting to see what hatches from those! The male ghost blood I got from you is awesome but the female looks like a granite!

The pastel female above is from the same pair of adults that produced yours. All the GhostBloodreds I’ve produced are from a 1.1 pair I purchased as hatchlings from Frank Pinello in 2005. As hatchlings, the parents were pretty much identical in skin tone. They had different color water dishes so I could tell them apart at first.

The male developed a pink wash as he matured, starting somewhere around 6+ months. It was much more noticeable after several more sheds. Compared to the male, the female did contrast quite a bit against him at that point. About the same age as your female now? She has since softened to a light grey on grey, without any hint of pink as her color continued to mature. I have progression photos covering several years for the parents here.

Stephen, the male looks beautiful!! Both look nice & healthy!! Thanks for posting photos of both of them :) I thought that male might be one to get the pink color wash.

Check post# 15 in the link I posted above. It's a good comparison photo of my adults around the same age as yours, plus or minus a few months. There's also a few photos of her as an adult near the end of the thread. They do undergo a color change from hatchling to juvenile to adult. If you're not happy with her & want to pay shipping both ways, you can swap her for something else. I have alot of nice projects going on this year (check my 2008 projects page on my website) :)

No...

Sorry if you took it the wrong way,I love them both! I will be using them for alot of new projects when they get to size! I just found it really wierd to see how dark she is getting.I guess it may be one of those gender things where the males get more color then the females. I am growing out some awesome future breeders and yours rank high on top of the ones I consider the best! I continue to seek out the nicest animals available and your ghost bloods are some of the best I have seen! When I work to produce new stuff I have always used the best, most different animals available, there is just too much time and energy put into making new morphs,so I couldnt see doing it any other way! I hope you have a great season! Stephen
