Pewter Ghost?

It looks like on of my pairs of Bloodreds that are het. for Pewter are also het. for Hypo. So would that give them a 1 in 16 chance of producing a Ghost Pewter? Rich, I checked your website this time, didn't see any Ghost Pewters. This is getting very interesting. IMHO

If the pair is BloodRed and Het. Hypo & Charcoal then the odds of making the Ghost Pewter would be 1/16. Its 1/64 if they are normals Het. Blood, Hypo and Charcoal. Good luck with that project.

I produced one of them last year but it wasn't a survivor. I have one Charcoal Ghost that came from that group that is *almost* a Blood Red wannabe. With any luck I'll have some hatching out over the next few weeks.

Where did your Blood Reds come from? I've sold off Blood Reds from this project, which would be possible hets for Hypo and Charcoal, but I don't think I sold off any before last year.

I got them from Bradford Cole Herptoculture. I bought a group of about 30 corns from them a few years ago. There were 5 Bloodreds in the group. I kept 1 pair and sold the rest. I believe John Bernardi has the others. I'm going to try and get a hold of them and see if they have any back ground on them. But I have a feeling if they had any idea that they where double het. I wouldn't have got them. IMHO

By the way I've got a second clutch of 10 eggs from this pair that is due to hatch at the end of August. Can't hardly wait now to see what comes out. This is about as excited as I've been about snakes hatching in a long time. It's good for the old boy. IMHO

Congrats, Tim!

I can't wait to see pics of these. I hope to be working on my own line(s) in a few years, still acquiring/raising stock for it.

BTW I also prefer the name "Pewter Ghost" to "Hypo Pewter." :)
