Phet lavender

ructo

New member
Hello everyone! Ructo is growing up nicely. The thing is when he was sold to me he was diffused phet lavender. Is there any way to know if he is heterozygous for lavender just from pictures, or would tests be needed to decide? I feel like you wouldn't be able to decide if a snake is heterozygous from pictures, but you all would know better than me. He is shedding, so I will probably post pictures after the shedding is over.

The only sign _might_ be an aberrant pattern like zigzag or aztec. Other than that, no. For lavender.

How much would a test cost, how old should he be, and where are good places to have tests done?

The only test is a breeding test. You'd breed him to a lavender female. If you get lavenders, he's het lavender.

That would be cool if there was some other sort of test, like a blood test! But- there is not.

So for my purposes it doesn't exactly matter that he is het unless I breed him? Maybe someday I might breed, but for now, a pet is all he should be. Thanks for helping. If only there were a way to figure out. I'm curious:)
