Philly Reptile Show...

Last year I went to a show in Philly in November and I can't remember what show it was. I want to know the dates so I can plan to attend again. If anyone knows please share. Web address would be helpful. Thanks.

that sucks...

i'll have to find another show or just order online. i enjoyed the show last year, i'm surprised it's cancelled, too. it was very hot in the room it was held in and there was no air circulation and it was hard to get around and a lot of people smelled bad. too much dust, i had an eye infection when i got home, but other than that it was great.

If you're not opposed to a bit of a drive, there's a show on Long Island, NY coming up October 1st. It's the local herp society sponsored annual show. Not sure how it compares to other shows, as it's the only one I've been to, but there was a decent selection last year. At least I thought so. I'm sure it's nothing compared to the larger shows, though. But just in case you're interested, here's a link to the info. I know my kids and I will be there with "kid in a candy store" goofy grins :crazy02:

As far as I know, the plans are to skip the Philly show this Nov, wait a year, and maybe have it in Jan instead. That was the last I heard, so I don't know if that is still the plan. I hope they reconsider the Jan idea. A lot of vendors are from Florida and Cal. The idea of driving or flying and transporting animals in the dead of winter in Pa. is not very appealing.

Duff- How big is this show? Do they have supplies, feeders and a decent selection of snakes for sale? I was goint to drive up to White Plains in a few weeks but Farmingdale sounds much better....

Kathy- Do you attend any shows in the New York metro area???

I'm very pleased with the two hatchlings I purchased from you last month, and would love to get to pick through a full table of your corns....

We have been considering it.

We have some relatives who are buying a new house very close to NYC. It would be nice to visit them and go to a show at the same time. We were thinking maybe next spring would be a nice time to visit, if there is a large enough show nearby to be worthwhile around April or May or so.
