Picky adult eater-- wants to eat every couple weeks?

Well I've had Kitty since December. The previous owner said she was a good weekly eater of f/t mice that he bought from the local petstore (which only carries brown mice---I don't know if that makes a difference). Initially she refused the mouse I bought but after a few weeks she got into the routine of eating every week a mouse if I covered her tank while she ate.

But lately she's been refusing about every other mouse I offer her. She eats vigorously about every 3 weeks and is very active in between feedings. She doesn't appear skinny and she is shedding regularly. Is this feeding schedule okay? Shes 3 years about but I don't have a scale to measure her so I'll include a pic for reference. Maybe she's refusing because I'm feeding only white mice now? Maybe she's just not hungry? I need reassurance. Lol!

I have a female corn that ONLY eats white mice. She won't touch anything other than pure white. Don't know why. Maybe they taste better? Or maybe she's just spoiled. She went on almost a month long hunger strike when I didn't give her a white mouse.

well I'm feeding medium sized mice which is what her last owner bumped her up to before I got her in December. Lol yeah I suppose she is acting like a spoiled brat actually (but she'll probably get away with it because she's cute). Lol yeah she's pretty cheap I guess but as long as she's healthy, I don't mind forking over the couple extra bucks!

Some do that. Try feeding her every two weeks and see if she eats. Saves a mouse that way since you're not thawing one every week and throwing some away.

My black rat hates wet mice. She'll eventually eat it, but she's never happy about it. She'll about take your fingers off if the mouse is dry though, and that's with using chopsticks to maintain a safe distance.

One of the bairds will refuse about 1 out of 3 feedings. Can't figure out a pattern to it yet though.

Good luck
