pinkies

Our little corn snake has been feeding on pinkies that are only a day or two old with no fur. He is now approximately 16 inches and weighs 15 grams . The pinkies I got today are about the same size as we have been feeding him but these have fur. My question is, does it matter if they have fur or not or is it just the size of the pinkie?

No, as long as they are the same size as the baby is normally used to, it's fine. I have seen some really tiny fuzzies.

How old are extra small and small pinkies

A better way in referencing feeders is by weight for accuracy. Going by age can have a lot of variance in size and weight.

This is how I reference pinkies to make it more accurate ;

Reds are newborn that have no mothers milk in their belly. 1-2g
Pinks are a day old and you can see milk in their belly. 1-2g
Large pinks can be 2-4 days old. 2-3g
Peach fuzzies are pinks that have developed very fine hair. 3-4g
