Pinkies!!!!

CARattler40

got good knees?
One of my female mice finally popped! I'm assuming it happened last night, my mom told me about it this morning at about 10. The bigger female's pretty close too, and she's already come over a few times to help out with the newborn pinks. I'm amazed at how awesome mice are as mothers, I had some preconceived thoughts about them eating the babies as first-time mothers.

Here are a couple pictures of the pinks, I counted 10 in the litter:

AWESOME!!! That is so cool Carlos! I'm so happy for you. Your mice were just like mine. I got them and within a month, they had babies. Very cool!

Finally!!! poor thing would have exploded!!

Congrats Carlos, keep us updated on their progress etc

More!

Update on the litters... The other female popped yesterday. She ate a few, but I think she had about 15-18 total. I couldn't really get a full count, but with both litters together (they're all in one supermass of pinks), I figured there were about 22-25. Here are a couple more pics:

Suh-weeett!!!!! So cute! Congrats carlos!! I love how blatently you put "she ate a few, but had bout 15-18 total" kinda made me chuckle a bit.

PINK-- FUZZ-- PEACH FUZZIES!!!! (in a deli cup, too)

One week old and the larger babies in the group are starting to get some fur. I can see a few that are starting to get some fawn and black fuzz on their backs, and some are shiny, almost satin-like. I suspect those with fur are from the first litter, but they're only a day older than the second litter... :shrugs:

Looks like this one's going to turn out fawn:
