Hi!
Need some help here! :)

I bought this female snow today.. No known hets

When I got home I saw that she doesnt have any checkers!!
So now I'm confused!!

WHY does she have a plainbelly? Any ideas??

The previous owner doesnt know to much about her (she hatched at his place 3 years ago).. But he is very sure that there is no bloodred in her or in her parents..

Help me figure her out! Going loco! ;)

By the way.. Isnt she gorgeous with all that yellow!
I really like her, and I dont usually like white snakes.. :)

If I'm not mistaken, in the first pic I can see some very feint belly checkers.

Sometimes on albino, especially white i.e snow, opal, blizzard etc, corns it's quite difficult to tell they are there as they are very transluscent.

Congratulations on the new pick up, she's a beauty!

Nanci;
She's not a motley..
Last year she was paired with an motley and the clutch had no motleys in it (17 juveniles).. So I dont think she's het for motley either..

Susielea;
thats what I wa starting to think aswell.. Did I just miss the checkers? To hard for my eye to see them and so on..? I dont know.. They are very translucent in that case :)

But I saw pics of a holdback from the same parents (2 years old) yesterday.. Its an amel het anery with plainbelly aswell!!??? what the f*ck??
Could it be just a coincident that they both look like plainbellys? :S

The previous owner don't remember what the parents were.. They are sold unfortunally..
I was thinking, if I saw the parents to this snow and that amel het anery, it could help alot.. But thats not possible anymore. :(

I have to agree with Susie.
I saw a glimpse of check.
(and when I imported the picture in photoshop and altered the contrast, you could see the checkers a little bit better.)

I really dont see any checkers on her but that pics shows somethings looking like checkers..
The parties that looks like some checkers are some yellow color that has "floated in" on her belly I think..
I will take some more pics today and have a good look at all pics to see if i might see some checkers! :)

Thanks for complimenting her and my nails! ;) he he

Toshiro;
Thanks for that tip! I will test that aswell! And take fotos in different lights and so on :)

Checks or no checks. that's one lovely snake.
especially if it has a complete white belly.

Thank you!

I just find it very odd that both of them has "invisible" (don't know what to call it) checkers :)

Don't know if that are checkers we see.
Sorry for making your snake look grungy.
but this way we see something.

No problem! Just good! :)
Yeah I see what you mean but does it look like checkers? I'm asking for everyones expertice, I'm not good at this myself.. ;)

Allright, now I know!
Thanks for helping me :)

I'll take some new pics of her and post her just for fun :)
I'll try to do like Toshiro did with that pic and I might see the checkers better!

I remember reading that some snakes lose the checks on the lower half of their body. Could you get a picture of her belly closer to her head?

I saw some potentional checkers today when I brought her out in daylight!
so she's probably a regular pretty snow :)

thanks for all help everyone!
