**Plant ID help**

Ill trade cookies for plants???? I have 2 snakes n lots of spider plant babies will they work?? Also Alovera??? Good for shedding???? Hmmmmm

Lol, this thread is pretty old. I should update with new pics of how these, and others since then, look now. Some of these have been transplanted 2/3 times now and are HUGE!

#2 is a canna lily - I think it is Tropicanna Gold. Big argument about whether it should be patented or not.
There is a picture of it here -http://www.gardenexpress.com.au/canna-lily-tropicanna-gold/

#8 is some type of rhizome begonia - Usually called Rex begonia

Not sure on the others.

Wow, this is an old thread.

#7 Graptopetalum. What it looks like when it is grown without adequate lighting, it gets leggy and stretched out.

#9: possibly Dracaena surculosa, or Trycritis, or Ruscus, lots of possibilities, I'd like to see the flower.

#10 wild portulaca , we have something similar in our lawn, or possibly a Sedum

Ok, here are some I just ran outside and shot...

Along the back fence and close ups of the Begonia and Devils Backbone

The Agave is 'quadricolor'. The variegated pineapple is something I grew from a normal pineapple starting about 35 years ago, the first one had just a sliver of white in the foliage. Been selecting and re-selecting them all these years, discarding the green ones. Not the same as the cloned variety common in the trade; these get 4 ft or more in height, with a spread of 5 ft or more, and are freeze-hardy when planted in shade, to at least 18 degrees.
If you blast Pedilanthus with phosphorous in November/December (in the northern hemisphere), something like 0-45-0, then big old established plants will throw out loads of little curiously shaped red flowers in February provided they do not get frosted or frozen.
Your garden is looking good Joe. Is that Datura and Brugmansia I see in there?

Cool, I'll have to pick up some P. Lol, funny you said Datura, as I tried to start some Sacred, but nothing came of it.
I think you see the Avocado... In addition to the ones above, there's also a Lime in there, 2 Gardenias, 2 Dwarf Cavendish bananas, 2 Manzano bananas, Greek Oregano, Rosemary, Sweet Mint, Catnip, Elephant Ear, Wandering Jew, Asparagus Ferns, Spider Plants, Green and Orange Peppers, and a Crown of Thorns... and a few more...
I also have an Orange tree, Cali Avocado, Blueberries, and Blackberries planted around the yard...

For the sacred, get a glass full of the hottest tap water your H2o heater can muster up, add a capful of hydrogen peroxide, toss the seeds in, and let sit overnight. then plant
