hello im buying my first snake very soon ive seen a starter kit but the viv is plastic and as i will obviously be using a heat mat will this melt or deform the plastic does any1 no?? thanks

As long as the heat mat is regulated with a thermostat to anywhere between 80 - 85 then it will be perfectly fine.

Yeah you'll be fine using a plastic vivarium. Plastic's melting temp is much higher than a heat pad can go by itself. I used plastic semi-clear tubs by sterlite but I adapted mine and placed a glass panel in front.
