Thats kind of what Im hoping on but its not coming off when I rub it and his eye socket looks a bit stretched out where the black is.

Yeah, I tried that...no luck, is there such thing as "eye rot" ?
Cause If there was it looks like a minor version of that.

What should I do know, never had this before! Ive heard of those other mites that eat snake mites but is there any other easy solution.
Its probably from that stupid forest bark!

Thanks alot diamondlil, your really helpful.

For now, I took all his accessories and put them in a bucket with bleach and hot water and I sprayed the tank with it. Ill buy some of that nix stuff tomorow.

As for the snake I tried soaking him in water and dunking his head every minute but it didnt seem to work.

Well that nix stuff should protect the rest of my snakes right? As for kenny my ltr, he dosnt seem to be doing well at all. I tried removing these mite from underneath his eye socket but there dosnt seem to be any. It seems like his skin is rotting black or something.

I've only ever seen them on baby corns in Petco. I can tell you they are usually in the side of the eye and on the creases in the chin, the little snakes drown the rest in the water bowl, but can't hold their heads under water long enough.

You'll need to treat the snake and the whole cage for mites, as well as probably the area around where you keep him.

That's my nightmare, sorry it happened to you. Do a search on mites, there is lots of good info here on how to treat for them.

I really dont think you should be squeezing at the snake eye lids. Or dunking him "every minute" for that matter....as Diamondlil said, mites are between scales, I doubt your going to pop them out like a tic and dunking the snake is going to stress him terribly.

The skin isnt rotting, the snake has mites. You need an appropriate pesticide like in the link. Im sure pet stores sell chemicals for snake mites as well.
