He probably will dart away, but you just have to be quick and careful, just look around the viv to start with, then widen your search abit, look everywhere where it could hide, remember that it is nocturnal and will be hiding during the day so you could leave a pinky out in the room that he escaped from when it gets dark and wait to see if he comes out, also put towels at the bottom of the door so it can't leave the room. Actually scratch that becuase if he has left the room he wont be able to get to the pinkie.

Hope you find him soon

Good luck

Jonathan

where should i look?

thanks will do! but where do they like to hide!? is it a good idea to put a pinky in his little bed cave thing and hope he curls up in there till mornign or woo her not? i doubt he will come straight out if i turn the lights of and spy on him? is it possible hell go outside? AHHHHHHHHHHHH!??!?

First off dont panic too much. You can put a bottle trap in the room his cage was in. Get a 2 liter bottle and cut off about the top 1/3 of it. Then put a mouse in it (dead of course) and tape the top back on but inside out, so the opening at the top is now inside the bottle. The point is that he goes in eats and then cant fit back out. That might work. Also do what Neyals said and look under in around everything. Hopefully he turns up.

Sorry didnt know u just posted. Well keep your doors and windows closed and he shouldnt get outside. Do the bottle trap because he wont eat then just stay there. You can put powder on the floor by the door so you can see if he has come through. But dont panic.

if your scared about him leaveing your room, put some flour in front of the doorway or anywhere and then you can see if he slithered through it. Also try to tape up all of the vents, and cracks, where he could leave your room.

also, try to put a heatsource near the pop bottle, because hes probably gettin a bit cold

hmm still no luck!

same thing... i didnt realize Dave just posted.

im going to try the bottle trap nice idea! however hes only a baby so he will fit back out again!!!! but if its in the middle he may find it harder to get out than just sliding in!

and i dunnoi whether i should close up gaps as he may have already left the room! do u think he would even try to go outside, wouldnt he think ... cold dont go out there?
two people i know lost there snakes! and both found them a year later in their houses! but in a year!! he will be wild and will hate me!

Try putting a bunch of plastic shopping bags or other crinkly plastic around your house, especially along edges. then in the evening let the whole house quiet down and try to hear the snake if it touches the plastic bags, this is how I found Spur twice when he got out. (the third time was dumb luck as he was trying to get a drink from the toilet when my g/f went to the bathroom.) Your snake won't have travelled very far in all likelyhood. look everywhere in the room you lost him in. Especially be sure to look up, they can climb and hide away in some amazing places. With a small snake it might be easier to use matchsticks or toothpicks layed down end to end to see if a snake has passed by. It can be incredibly hard to see a disturbance in powder when the snake's small. Don't loose hope, just keep looking. I lost spur for almost two months, and he was perfectly healthy when I found him. Infact he had gained weight, and still was the most docile little snake I could want.

hiya, this is my first post, so be gentle with me :) first off, look in all the obvious places ie. anywhere that there is the slightest possibility that he could have wriggled into. after that it is just a case of 'wait and see' i know that doesn't sound like very helpful advice, but one of mine (slither) did exactly the same, and after 7 days he reappeared much to my disbelief. the term "my jaw just dropped" springs to mind. when he turned back up i was dumbfounded because there was nowhere that i hadn't checked that he could have been. the back of the refrigerator is a place that they (apparently) like to get into to and tuck up behind the compressor.

best of luck anyway. and don't lose hope
