Poo or Regurge

Now I gather that the poop will look very similar to bird poop, and I have a white 'splat-like' mark on the bark, Now if this is actually a regurge (First time feeding, all went well and all was done to prevent a possible regurge) Would I be able to tell straight away the difference?

It does look more like a poop than what I imagine a regurge to look like,
And if it is a poop, it doesn't look like much, he's about a foot long, and only had a pinkie the other day, I know the meal was very small but I imagined the poop to be bigger, it sounds a bit silly I know but first time feeding like I said so I want to know I'm doing things okay?

Well, I read that you can tell by the smell.
"Can mistake a regurge from poop."
I would think it would still look like a pinky only after a day.
If thats' any help.
