Poopin in the Tub...

Hey all...just wondered if anyone else sees this same phenomenon...usually the day after my snakes go into a blue phase...i will let them take a little swim in a luke warm bathtub....they really seem to enjoy it and it relaxes them to the point where they just HAVE to take a good dump :) . i wonder if the water helps things along and maybe if anyone out there has problem poopers..this method might be worth a try. Plus its easier to clean the tub than the tank.

HAHAHAH No I never had a pooper in a tub! But they tend to poop either while holding, after holding or in the water dish. Best is in the water dish cause I can quickly dump it down the toilet and clean and replace. I think the movement kind makes them have to go, but warm water is a natural releaser

Yep, mine always poops when I put her in water. Its what I do if I am worried about her not pooping for awhile. I think the movement of the water and the extra exercise they get in the water from swimming around does the trick.

All snakes have the ability to swim, it's just a matter of whether they choose to or not...

From my experience..i have found that if the waters deep enough.. they ALL choose to swim ;)

Wow, that's such an awesome idea to have them swim in the bath tub. Plus they give you that extra bonus!

Well, I'm sure that's true for most...I seem to have some very backwards snakes...*L*...I have a Ball Python that HATES the water, as far as swimming or soaking...Don't think he would do it willingly to save his life!! *L*

Yep I have experienced the same thing... Bentley always poops in the tub. lol I find it funny just like a little baby would poop in the tub.. I guess it just relaxes them a lot. :)
