OK, what's up with my snake? :shrugs: She will not poop in her viv, she only poops when we take her out. Is she that smart that she doesn't want to mess up her home, or are we scaring 'IT' out of her? :) Seriously, I think in the month I've had her there were only 2 small poos in her viv.

might be uncomftable(spelling) feeling she has in her viv. like my dog. when we re-did are back yard she start to go in the house beacuse she didnt have here habitat anymore i guess you can say..and when you take her out she feels relived or scared so bad she poops. trying putting here in a nother tank and something eles and see what happens.

When are you taking her out? ( in relation to feeds)

- She may just warm up on you, get comfy, and poo :) I try to wait till almost the next feed, to take them out for play time. Usually they've poo'd in their home by then.

we always play

Hi, thanks for the advice, but since she is young and my kids are young, we try to play with her at least once a day or every other day to make her more comfortable with us. You know, get her used to us so she is more tame.
Good idea or not? I thought for at least one time between feedings we could leave her and not take her out, but I don't want her getting constipated, if that's possible :eek1: What do you think?

As far as her not being used to her viv, don't I have to get her used to it? I also don't have another tank to put her in. Any other ideas? :shrugs:

No don't put her in another viv. It isn't necessary. She will get used to hers in time. It is more likely that the movement of being handled stimulates her to move her bowels. She will not get constipated if you don't handle her. She'll poo when she needs to. You can't housebreak snakes no matter how hard you try. They go when they go and if you happen to be holding her at the time...well, you know.

One other thing, do you know to leave them alone for 48 hours after feeding? This is important to prevent the snake from upchucking its meal.

Thanks, I thought she would get used to it. Yes, we don't handle her for 24 hrs., thanks, now I know 48. I appreciate the help. she is growing well, she's been getting longer, now we notice her getting wider. she must also be getting ready to shed cuz she's not eating and she is usually very hungry!!!
