Possible Last Pic of Butter Motley male

Snowfyre

Snake-getti on the Loose
This is possibly the last pic of my male butter motley. I looked over to find my dog chewing on the container he was in. I'm still looking around and I'm pretty sure the snake is not in the dog. But I'm still very upset. I hope I can find him. As you can see, he was incredibly yellow.

I am very heartbroken right now.

Omg!

That is a stunning little Butter Mot. I really hope you find him. Keep us updated.

I'm so sorry to hear that your lovely butter mot is on the loose. I wish you the best of luck in finding him.

Aww im sorry, well i hope you find him. His color will hopefully help you with finding him, since hes so bright...good luck

I am terribly sorry to hear about the incident. I hope you find him and be sure to keep us updated. Are you using any of the numerous methods that help locate lost snakes???

Additional problems

I have cats....That bright color makes things a bit more difficult for the snake. And I have to go to work. So I'm trying really hard to try and find him. I'm PRETTY sure that the dogs didn't eat him. And yes they got in alot of trouble. Its so hard to find such little snakes at times. I still have his brother and sister. His brother is a Golddust Motley and his sister is a butter motley. But he was just so incredibly yellow.

Man... first your cats are knocking over your containers... now your dog is eating them. You need to train your critters to leave your snakes alone...

Well IMO snakes are smart and they can go into places where the cats and dog cant get him...you just have to keep checking in warm places as well as other places...i lost my corn snake when she was real little, close to when i first got her and i have 3 cats, in a small 1 bedroom apartment and i found her under the fridge, i had to check under there 3 times before i finally found her. So dont check a place only once...good luck

Sorry to hear about this little guy getting away. He's an absolutely gorgeous butter motley. I hope you find him soon. Keep us posted.

Yay!!!!!!

He's found! ANd looks to be in one piece....a little uncoordinated. I think the cats might have been batting him around. But no visible wounds. Of course I made this stupid promise to myself that I'd work a coworker's closing shift if I found the snake. 2 minutes later....there's the snake. Stupid Karma.....But I have my snake back.

I'm REALLY glad you found him, and so quickly. But you have to follow the advice given and ensure that this never happens again. These little guys rely on you, and at whatever price, I'm sure they were too expensive to serve as food for evil mammals. ;)

Update

Well, he drank heavily and ate a tiny pinky mouse. I would have waited, but he prefers live and its incredibly hard for me to get them. So I had to use it while I could. I'm just going to leave him alone for the next few days but I think he's just fine.
