This isn't about a corn but this seems the best place for advice so what the heck. My 3 year old pueblan milksnake came out for a play today and after about 10 mins of crawling about i heard a faint mew like a kitten was outside etc thats the best i can describe it a faint squeek. this wasn't once he kept doing it so immediatly i assumed it was an ri and started checking his mouth, no discharge no gaping lots of tongue flickering and seemed very alert. he is in final shed phase his eyes cleared 2 days ago so he is ready to go. I raised the humidity to 55% to help with the shed but could his tight skin be making the noise i mean anyone who has an experience with this sort of thing i need help lol as ive never had to deal with any illness in snakes.
Thx

See if it clear up after the shed. If it doesn't, bump up the heat to 90 degrees for a week to help your snake. If that doesn't work, call a vet.

k i keep the temps pretty high any way due to the species being from central america. but i have but it up a little bit to 90

Pueblan's don't need high temps. 75°- 85°F is the range it should be. I would stick down in the high 70's, low 80's.

I have heard a squeeky sound coming from one of my snakes when it is close to shedding. Maybe its the old sking rubbing against the new skin

cheers for that and to clarify i keep the temp normally at bang on 83.5 during the day.
thx for all the replies i'll just keep an eye on things

I think I've heard that they can make squeeking/whistling noises right before they shed, too- something to do with the about-to-be-shed skin by their nostrils.
