possible shed issue

Ok, so what should the range be and how to keep it up if it's too low? Other than a damp towel on top and larger water bowl.

You really don't need to do much. It just gets really dry where you and I are located, in the winter. Mine usually hovers between 40 and about 55% humidity. Try not to use a heat lamp this time of year. It dries the air in the cage out quicker than anything. A towel on the top, and a humid hide will do the trick. To get it up some, you could mist a couple times a day for a couple days. I wouldn't do that much though. You don't want the substrate damp. That will cause a whole set of new issues. His head should clean up over time. With future sheds. He looks really dry on his head. Like he has been sitting with it under a heat lamp.

He's never had a heat lamp in my care, but I assume they did at Petsmart. They never have correct care for their reptiles which is a whole nother story.

She's looked exactly like she does now ever since I got her, except not sure about the part on her front of the mouth that looks rubbed off. But the dent in the head and the skin on the neck. I just didn't know any better when I got her. And I would never try to return or exchange her cause she's my little baby now, I love her. But it does make me mad that they don't care well for their pets.

I hate even asking them questions at Petsmart. I tend to be very OCD about absorbing information. Almost every time you ask their opinions you get a bad answer. Hopefully your problems will work out soon so you can go back to enjoying them.

This is sometimes a problem when buying snakes from a pet store.

My very first corn was sick and I didn't even realize it. She kept regurging once I got her home and eventually passed away. Once I felt better I got another snake from a breeder and right away I could tell how much healthier he was. He's doing great and never gave me problems.

That's sad that your first snake was sick when you got it. Glad you've got a healthy one now.
My son's teacher that gave me Jafar and the two rescues told him that he should've done his research better so the little one that died would've made it. So sad, yes, you shouldn't be raising pets you don't know proper care for.
