Where i live we often have power cuts (although the last one was before i got akasha) so i am worried about what i can do to keep her viv warm if we do get a power cut.
I use a heat mat (under her viv) for heat if that would make any difference?
I suppose it depends on how long they last. probably if they are less than 30 min. or so the snake will be fine, especially if the room temp is around 70 to 75 degrees fahrenheit.
you could always place warm water bottles in with them, that's asuming you have hot water, or if it's sunny you could place her viv by a sunny window or you could snuggle with her to keep her warm
Thankyou for your help. So far the powercuts we have had last for a few hours and are at night so i really like that warm water bottle idea. I won't need to worry about Akasha getting cold now if we have a power cut.
We just had a power cut about 5 hours ago and i sort of modified the warm water bottle idea, i filled up a plastic tup with hot water and put it under her viv, it worked really well and kept the warm end temp at about 78 degrees f.
