Problems understanding tanksizes

Beer!!!

Oh.....I thought I suggested whiskey.

Or was it whiskey and a beer....... there was a lot of blood!!!.

I didn't want Mike to go into shock from seeing it.

Poor guy, he didn't see it coming. :grin01:

Oops

I thought you were trying to get the thread back on track.
Tss tss, Lennycorn, this is about tank size... now if you talk about Beer Tank size, that is closer to the matter discussed by Jonas ;)

Plissken, I wouldn't worry about Billy. He seems to be very bitter at the world. I posted a previous thread and he was quick to criticize as well. All of your info. was fine and suggestions are appreciated and recommended. Some people just aren't happy with themselves.

Love ya Bob....:roflmao:

20 gal long is the recommended MINIMUM size. I personally would feel most comfortable housing an adult in a 4-foot viv. Maybe you think this is excessive but I try to provide the very best for my animals, and I have a duty to do so. My animals don't get the MINIMUM requirements.

This is a moot point because the question was if his viv was big enough to house an adult corn and the awnser is yes and you said no. Also the viv in question actualy gives 150+ square inches more floor space than a 20 gal long so it goes well past the minimum requierment. Just because in your opinon an adult requiers a larger viv than 20 gal dose not mean that it would be wrong for Jonkol to house an adult in his wich is bigger than a 20 gal on floor space. I know that I repeated the fact that his viv gives more floor space than a 20 gal but since you seemed to miss that when you responded I thought I would mention it several times so you could not mis it.

Yeah, in your opinion. Something such as the best size tank for a corn is personal preference. By all means express your opinion but do not tell me I am wrong because I like to provide large tanks for my snakes. Open your mind this much?!

I have not said that you are wrong for wanting housing in larger vivs but I have said you are wong for saying that an adult could not be housed in his viv which is just false. He was not asking what size viv people think an adult corn could be housed in, he was asking if an adult corn could be housed in his viv which to that the awnser is yes.

Um, maybe to be helpful? What else can I do but suggest some species this member could keep? It's up to her what she buys, I was merely pointing her in the right direction.

I would not give advice if I had no clue on the subject.

Then I suggested some snakes she may be able to keep in this tank. Sure, I said I wasn't 100% sure, but it was only intended for Jonkol as somewhere for her to start her research. Someone new to snakes probably wouldn't know many of the various types, and would have no idea where to start looking. Perhaps I misworded by rosy boa post somewhat; what I meant was that I was fairly sure you could keep one of these snakes in a small tank, but she should have this confirmed because I was not 100% positive. I didn't just randomly pick some spiecies.

Wow, resulting to personal attacks huh?

Here is a link to that thread CMatt2157 is talking about:

http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36359

CMatt2157 posted his question in the wrong forum and knew he was posting it in the wrong place. I tried to point him to the correct place to post his question and he responded very rudely so I replied rudely. I am far from bitter at the world. But I would guess that CMatt2157 is pretty immature if he is going to post in a thread just to make fun of me. After reading that thread I am sure most will agree.

er guys i know i have like no rep points or anything and this is no disrespect to either of you.but why argue?you both gave opinions that will eventually in turn help her to make a decision.neither opinion was wrong.just personal prefrence.lets not argue ye?
