Sorry to sound so dramatic, but I'm having a little problem with my snake rack retaining heat. I currently have a spider ball python and 2 rosy boas. The rosies are fine, but with my ball python, I can't seem to get the enclosure warm enough. I have a plastic shelf rack with flexwatt heat tape that I have connected to a thermostat. We are staying with my boyfriends grandparents for the moment so we are in the attic. Which is not insulated. The highest temp it's been able to get to is 87 degrees. I can't move them because they are afraid of snakes. Would putting them in more confined spaces (like a cubby) help? Please help!
P.S. I have them in 15 qt tubs with aspen.
