progression thread for Asmodeus

My hypo corn snake is exceptionally small for his age (possibly stunted from life in petco before I got him), so I thought I would make a thread so I can look back easily at his growth! for reference, I estimate he will be 1 year old sometime in May

today I took him outside at an attempt at natural light photos but I didnt want to put him down because he is fast lol maybe one day I will set up some cool looking thing and take photos with a DSLR and not my phone

weigh in! he has gained 3 grams in a little under a month

his first attempt at a 4g fuzzy

for color comparison, here he is as a 6 month old when I got him early November. he has shed 3 times since being with me. (this was with a DSLR with flash, not too good lol)

I wouldn't say his growth has been stunted. He looks reasonable to me.

so 19 grams for a 9-10 month old corn is normal?

It's certainly possible. You estimate him to be 1 year in May. "Estimate" means you don't know for sure.

He looks healthy, he's not skinny, he's eating, he's gaining weight, I see no problem

:shrugs: that good enough for me! all I know is he was at petco for 6 months before I got him so if he was sent straight out of the egg he was hatched in May, hence my guess but he easily could be a month or 2 older but tbh rn I am just keeping him fed and healthy, which really is all that matters to me!

i got a surprise last night i saw my male and female getting busy lol i didn't think that was going to happen for awhile so hopefully i will have babies this year

Very pretty those outdoor shots are awesome, love the name too (Redwall fan back in the day).
My one cornsnake was a year old when I got him and he was the same size as a pencil and super skinny, like a tent. He is now 2 yo and up to size, around 36 inches long and quite hefty so they do catch up even if they were underfed for awhile.

Asmodeus is still growing!! he has taken to only wanting to eat while still mostly tucked away in his warm hide, but he does keep his mouse on the paper towel so he can do what he wants! lol

A weigh in for Asmodeus shows a nice weight gain to 41 grams today!

And i also tried measuring him, but the snake measuring website eas not being agreeable with the photo i took.

yes he is! I can tell he has gotten bigger, more of a "fistfull" now! I love watching him grow and change, and thank you!
