Doesn't do "casual"
I bought this Hypo Lavender het Amel as a 2013 in the hopes of breeding her this year, but was surprised to see that not only was she underweight but the seller had mixed up the photos for the male and female pair he was selling. Actually I wasn't that surprised at the last part, there was no way the female could be brighter than the male. He sent her feeding records along with her and what do you know...she is actually a 2014. So I'm a bit miffed, but still happy to have this little beauty here.

Some good news! London is indeed a 2013 (apparently the records were swapped) and I've just reweighed her at 250g, so she could be ok to breed later this season. I think the counter was uneven when I weighed her the first time.
 
Some updated pics! Our camera tends to turn reds and pinks orange. :/ She has a light pink wash down her back that just doesn't really show in these.

Thanks, guys! :) Once she's done digesting her rat pup, we might try and get some pics in natural lighting. Her male siblings and cousins are just gorgeous, very bright pink and lilac, so I'm hoping she'll give me some lovely babies with Foxtrot this year or next. I'm rather convinced I've missed the ovulation window, so I'm expecting slugs this year, but maybe I'll be surprised! Eventually I want to pair her with red factor and really get some amazing color.
 
Little mama is recovering from laying, and after a nice clean shed she enjoyed another rat pup. Next feeding we'll be back to normal adult mice, though I will try offering reptilinks first to see if she shows any interest again. She lost quite a bit of weight, but she's got a healthy appetite and will spend the rest of the summer and fall gaining it back and getting lots of exercise. :) We'll get some proper photos when she's a little closer to her original weight.

She has pink between her saddles down most of her back as well, something I've yet to capture with either camera. She's probably one of the prettiest hypo lavender girls I've seen.
 
Well I might take that back. Couldn't get good photos, but it looks like two more have picked up the pace and are showing decent veins. A fourth could potentially pull through, but it looks...odd. There is a single dark ring under the surface of the shell, as though one large vein is growing there and nowhere else. The rest are yellow throughout and are likely infertile.
 
While my phone is usually stellar at picking up reds, it still struggles with London's peachy pink tones. I took a quick snap of her today and edited it to reflect as close to her true colors as I can get (without getting fancy with Photoshop anyway)

Her saddles are still somewhat more of a mauve tone, but the peach color around her face and along her back is pretty spot on.
 
I know what you mean about capturing what they really look like. She's stunning in both pics but I can see what you mean about the color!
