Not really sad.. she got what was coming to her...
Woah there! I look after patients dying from 'self-inflicted' illness every time I go to work.
Every one has a story behind why they end up that way, no-one could judge them unless they knew why they become addicted to (and die because of) something that most of us enjoy in moderation. From 'lowlifers' to 'highlifers', people who blame stress, family tragedy, work pressure, loneliness, self-hate.

I understand that there's a story behind it all, but there are other ways to deal with problems you have. People who think starting smoking, drinking and taking drugs are going to help them are idiots, who are putting others in danger.
That girl that Mike mentioned could have prevented her death, but I guess she decided to just keep drinking, so I don't feel any sympathy.

I'm with J9 on this one....Judge not lest ye be judged an all that..... I've never had any problems with things others find self destructive......I'm not special just lucky that I know my limits.......Any way this was a fun getting drunk thread... and after 7 shots and a beer or two I'm on my way and mother it's still only 7.36 pm so who knows where this will end.... Hopfully not being Munsonated....LOL

i have no experience, but I'd imagine its easier said than done.

LOL! That sort of stuck, didn't it?

...can I ask your age? I'm sorry if this appears rude, but that has to be one of the most judgmental statements I've ever heard/read on a public forum, especially regarding something of which you obviously have no concept. While I truly hope you never find yourself in such despair as the poor woman mentioned above, I do hope that at some point in your life you'll learn to feel compassion for those who are.

Yeah, it was judgmental, and I do take back saying it. I have no idea of her background at all. But if someone dies because of taking drugs and alcohol- well, it was coming to them.
But most of the time, other people in the world go through far worse things than the people who resort to bad things like that- so imo there really is no excuse.

Wow, so you take it back and then make yet another judgmental statement. So, about that compassion thing....? (def. Understanding without judgment.)

I apologize to the forum, I shouldn't be instigating a debate with this person, it's just that it boggles my mind how people can make such blanket statements about something or someone they know absolutely nothing about.

Carry on.

I'm back...... Pure spirit helps you time travel.... One minute it was 8 pm then the next thing it's 12.27 pm.... A full 16 hours into the future on only 8-9 shots.....Time travel gives you a headache though so maybe I won't travel so far next time....

Hows your thumb dad?
Joel
Sore..... And for everybody else who's wondering what thats about.....Last night just before I time travelled...I got the magnetic window cleaners out....They're made for double glazing, so super strong magnets......The instructions said....DO NOT PLACE PADS TOGETHER WITHOUT THE WINDOW IN BETWEEN.... I tried it and got my thumb stuck in there.....God it hurt.......

Then he wanted me to try and do it :sobstory:

Oh OUCH! I have a big one of those things for cleaning my fish tanks. They SNAP on you in an instant, don't they? I'm grimacing just thinking about it. Maybe the instructions should say "Do not attempt use during time travel?"

;)

LOL!!! That was way too funny! I occasionally time travel after work also. But my time traveling starts at 7am, since I get out of work at 6:30am.

People look at me funny when I stop at the local party store and pick up a bottle that early, and I look at them and say "Don't you have a drink to unwind after work? Well that's what I'm doing!"...lol

I'm glad you survived your time travel, Mike. I get in enough trouble with the 80 Proof stuff. In fact, I did a decent amount of time traveling myself last night. But I stayed away from the keyboard (for the most part). It would be embarassing to have to "Munsonate" myself...

I was never able to do that after working nights. I'd try and have a glass of wine, but somehow drinking wine during Regis and Kelly just never felt quite right. I resorted to popping half a benadryl as soon as I walked in the door.
