Q for breeders

I have a pair of corns that I believe we're both bred together last year. We'll I've been putting them together for the past few weeks. We'll on the 1st I never witnessed a lock but I was busy but there was the evidence in there of a lock( I have newspaper in the males cage). Now my question is I've been pairing them every 4 days and they pay no attention to each other. The male is readily breeding to another female but nothing with this one. Could she of took already? She has gained like 45 grams in the past two weeks. Should I just keep pairing them or consider her good. Thanks for the help

I stop after the female refuses two times in a row. I'd give her a lay box now. After her pre-lay shed, put her together with the male one more time. If she is gravid, she should not breed. If she isn't, she may.

I also pair every three days. Some people do it more frequently, but since you're alternating females, are you breeding him to one or the other every two days?

Yes. That's how I'd do it. My females seem to have always fallen just right that one would be done before the next was ready, when sharing. Lucky.
