Ok, so I think I have found a male corn I'd like to get. I have a female snow corn (amel + anery) and I found this absolutely stunning proven breeder male sunglow amel motley het stripe male. What would they produce? I know since both snakes are amelanistic, all the babies would be amel, but what else?
I'm assuming they'd be amel het sunglow, het anery, poss het stripe, right? They sound as though they'd be neat-looking babies though. Any ideas/advice?

Yeah the results seem pretty cool. I'm actually thinking about getting two males and another female as well. I think I will try to find something more colorful to breed to the male sunglow motley amel het stripe and get a snow male to breed to my snow female. Ack, I'm going to be overrun with corn snakes...lol.

That's the spirit - now you're a proper Corn owner!!

Just make sure that you have a local market and you can sell all these babies, otherwise you really WILL be overrun!

There's a pretty good market around me. I live in PA and there are a bunch of good websites and shows around, and my local pet store has agreed to buy babies once I start breeding. Corns usually have around 15-20 babies right?

Just keep in mind that "Sunglow" is just a selectively bred Amel. There's no such thing as an Amel het Sunglow because Sunglow IS Amel.

Also, the babies from the Snow x Sunglow Motley het Stripe babies would all be het for either Motley or Stripe, since the father carries both and they sit on the same allele.

Have fun! =)

Thanks Floof. Yeah I did read that about sunglow, but I guess I didn't put two and two together there...lol.

Yay, the new corns just came. I ended up getting two males and another female from Sneaky Serpents because my fiance just couldn't decide which male he liked better! I got the male Sunglow motley het stripe, the male snow, and a female normal het snow, possible het bloodred. They are all beautiful- I will have to get pics up as soon as I take some!
