Question about poop and intro to me

Hi there. I'm new to the forum, and I have yet to buy a corn snake, but I will soon. I currently have a ball python, green anole, fat tailed gecko and crested gecko.
Basically, I've fallen in love with what I believe is an amel corn snake at a pet shop (they don't know what it is), and I want to buy him, but I have a question first. Every time I hold him there, he poops on me. Will he grow out of it? I wouldn't normally be concerned but I bought a crested gecko thinking that him pooping on me in the store was charming, and now he does it every time I take him out.
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Mine has never pooed on me personally, but he used to poo on my ex everytime he held him. Maybe he didn't like him, could just be a coincidence though! I don't think he has ever pooed on anyone else, but it's mainly me that handles him now...

Be interesting to see if anyone else has the same problem!

Snakes poop, or musk, when they are either frightened, or when they become activie after a period of inactivity. In his case, yours is probably just frightened by handling, and should grow out of it.

Definitely what Nanci said, also the more you have your snake the more you get used to them. I can pretty accurately predict when my snake is about to defecate now and appropriately slide something under her.

I have raised Boa Constrictors, Ball Pythons and Corn Snakes over the past 40+ years, and I can honestly say I have never had a snake of any type poop on me.
(Knock on Wood)
I hear of a lot of folks on this message forum who have had snakes poop on them. So I guess anything is possible.
I currently have a Corn Snake, started out again with another baby, he's now about 7 or 8 months old, 30 inches long, 99 grams, a very nice sweet snake and no pooping on me yet.

Thats what I do with my crested gecko haha. The snake never poops on anyone at the store, just me lol. I'm sure he'll grow out if it.
