I went to Repticon Houston in December and will be going again to the February show. I really enjoyed it and picked up a bloodred hatchling, which is doing great.
In December, there were a good number of breeders, I thought. The ball pythons were the most numerous, followed by milk snakes and then corns. You can get some nice snakes for reasonable prices. Also, it's a lot of fun to walk around and look at the interesting morphs. Thomas the Snakeman will probably be there, giving a hands-on show with a variety of snakes.
There are also a lot of supplies - frozen rodents, cages, substrates, books, etc. Be sure to bring plenty of cash, as most aren't able to take plastic. There is an ATM in the main building, though. I'll be there looking for a larger cage for my boa constrictor. There was a vendor who had some good ones for very reasonable prices, but I didn't have a vehicle that I could fit it into. Hopefully they come back in February.
The show at the Pasadena Convention center is actually in the small building behind the main one. It took us a while to find it, as it's located a good distance in the back. There are some signs that weren't real helpful, but if you drive around, you'll find it.
