Hi all, I picked up a couple from Walmart now i'm wondering how do all of you mount them in your vivs?? I gather you stick the outside meter on the hot side and what do you just place the meter on the cool side of the tank? Thoughts and opinions would be helpful TY!!
 
Put the probe under the substrate over the UTH, and I just stand up the meter itself on the cool side corner so it can be read easily from outside the tank. They get knocked over frequently, but it works. That way I can read both cool and warm temps on the one thermometer.
 
Before I got my digital thermomer/hygrometer i had those round dial exo-terra ones.
The circular foam sticky things that come with them are perfect - I just peeled the exo-terra thermometer off carefully from where it was stuck, and put the digital thermometer there instead. :)
